[WEMMERSHOEK] Woman seriously injured after vehicle collides with barricade

A 35-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after her vehicle collided with a barricade on the Berg River dam road in Wemmershoek in the early hours of this morning.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 00h00, they found the Stellenbosch Fire Department already at the scene. Upon further assessment, they found the woman lying outside of the vehicle. She was found to be in a serious condition. Paramedics immediately initiated advanced life support interventions.

ER24 and the Metro EMS transported the woman to hospital for further medical care.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not known to our paramedics.
