[WHITE RIVER] Man killed in a shooting incident

A man was fatally wounded in a shooting incident on the corner of Tom Lawrence and the R40 in White River this afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 16h00, they found a man lying in the road. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest and was showing no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the man and he was declared dead at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but police were on the scene for further investigations.
