WILGEHEUWEL – Head-on collision leaves two injured.

Two people were left injured this afternoon, one of them seriously, when two vehicles collided at the Paul Kruger and John Foster intersection in Wilgeheuwel.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 13h36 to find the two vehicles in the middle of the road. Two people were found outside the vehicles.

Medics assessed the patients and found that one had sustained minor injuries while a woman had sustained more serious injuries.

Medics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured woman with pain-relief medication before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
