[WILGEHEUWEL] – Woman airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious burns.

A woman, believed to be in her 70s, was left critically injured after she sustained serious burns at her residence in Wilgeheuwel, west of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene at 10h24 to find the woman lying in her yard of her residence.

Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained serious burn wounds over most of her body and was in a critical condition.

The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with several advanced life support interventions before she was airlifted to by a private medical helicopter to a private hospital.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.
