[WILRO PARK] – Bike and car collide leaving one critically injured.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was left critically injured this afternoon when his motorbike collided with a bakkie at the CR Swart and Naboom intersection in Wilro Park.

ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on the scene at 16h32 to find the bakkie on the side of the road while the motorbike was in the middle of the road. The biker, a man in his 50s, was found lying a short distance away from his vehicle.

Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to his arms, legs and abdomen, leaving him in a critical condition.

Medics treated the man and provided him with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
