[WINCHESTER HILLS] – Man struck-and-killed on N12

This morning, a man was killed when he was struck by a light motor vehicle on the N12 near the Xavier offramp in Winchester Hills, south of Johannesburg.
ER24 arrived on the scene at 09h40 to find the body of a man lying in the middle of the road. A light motor vehicle was parked on the side of the road a short distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
The driver of the car, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
