[WINKELSPRUIT] – Biker left critical in collision.

A man was left critically injured this morning when his motorbike collided with a truck at the R603 and N2 in Winkelspruit in KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 10h15 to find another service attending to the patient.

On assessment, medics found that the biker had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The man was treated, provided with several advanced life support interventions and thereafter airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a hospital in Pietermaritzburg.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
