[WOODLANDS] – Taxi and bakkie collide, leaving thirteen injured.

This morning, thirteen people were injured, including eleven children, when a taxi and bakkie collided on Dr Chota Motala Road in Woodlands, Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 and other services arrived at 07h20 to find the two vehicles parked on the right-hand side of the road. Several children were seen seated on the side of the road.
Medics assessed the patients and found that two adults and eleven children had sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The children were treated for their injuries, and several were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Other children declined further treatment and transportation to a hospital.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
