[WOODMEAD] – Three injured in five-vehicle collision.

Three people were left injured this morning following a collision between four light motor vehicles and a truck on the N1/N3 split in Woodmead.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the vehicles in the fast and middle lanes. Several people were found walking around on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that three people had sustained only moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
