[WYNBERG] Pedestrian seriously injured in vehicle knock down

A male pedestrian was critically injured after he was knocked down by a delivery van on the M1 North after Grayston drive in Wynberg, Johannesburg yesterday afternoon.

When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 15h30, they found the pedestrian lying in the road and another medical service already treating the patient. Upon further assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained critical injuries. Advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated before transporting the man to hospital for further medical care.

The driver of the delivery van sustained no injuries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics but local authorities were on the scene.
