[KRAAIFONTEIN] – Two-vehicle collision leaves five injured.

Five people were left injured following a collision between a bakkie and light motor vehicle on the R101 in Kraaifontein in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with Fire and Metro Rescue Services, arrived on the scene at 08h17 to find the bakkie and light motor vehicle on the side of the road. Several occupants from the bakkie were found seated nearby.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that five people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital for further treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
