Rescue South Africa Preparing for Philippines Rescue

  Rescue South Africa in partnership with ER24 has deployed to devastated Tacloban in the Philippines. As soon as the South African government gave Rescue South Africa approval to send a team of 60 rescuers and communications personnel to Tacloban, it was full steam ahead with preparations. The team’s manpower includes ER24, Rescue South Africa representatives as well as personnel from different NGOs and government rescue services. The team plans to remain deployed for approximately 12 days, to allow them as much opportunity to help those in need with the resources they have.
