[ALRODE] – Vehicle rollover leaves woman seriously injured.

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was left seriously injured this morning when her vehicle rolled off Heidelburg Road in Alrode.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 06h45 to find that a light motor vehicle had rolled off the road, down an embankment and had come to a stop on its roof on the railway tracks.

Medics assessed the woman, found lying outside the vehicle, and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition.

The woman was treated for her injuries and was provided with pain-relief medication before she was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital for urgent care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
