[BETHLEHEM] – Two-vehicle collision leaves three injured.
Three people were left injured this morning, one of them critically, following a collision between two light motor vehicles on the R76, approximately 20km outside of Bethlehem.
ER24 medics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 06h45 to find one light motor vehicle against an embankment on the side of the road while a second vehicle was found in the middle of the road.
On closer inspection, paramedics found that the male driver of the vehicle on the side of the road had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. The two other patients had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and the critically injured man provided with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, the patients were transported to hospitals in Bethlehem for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
