[VANDERBIJLPARK] – Minibus and bakkie collide leaving seventeen injured.

Seventeen people were left injured this afternoon, including fifteen children were a minibus and bakkie collided on Hertz Road in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 14h00 to find the bakkie on the side of the road while the minibus was found lying on its side. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were now found seated on the sidewalk.

Medics assessed the patients and found that two adults and fifteen children, aged between 10 and 16, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

Medics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further care. Two of the children were transported privately to a nearby hospital.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
